Eco-Source 1" Gravel – Sustainable and Economical
Eco-Source 1” Gravel – Affordable, Durable, and Naturally Rugged.
Eco-Source 1" Gravel is an environmentally conscious material, created as a by-product of the topsoil screening process. This natural gravel is unwashed, which makes it a budget-friendly solution for various landscaping and construction projects. While it may contain small amounts of organic matter and occasional inorganic materials, this gives the gravel its unique, rugged appearance and enhances its environmental sustainability.
Key Features:
- Size: Eco-Source 1" Gravel consists of angular stones approximately 1 inch in size, with a blend of smaller particles.
- Appearance: The unwashed gravel retains a natural layer of fine soil, giving it a raw, earthy look that ranges from soft browns to muted greys. Ideal for projects with a rustic or natural aesthetic.
- Sustainability: As a by-product of topsoil production, this gravel promotes sustainability by repurposing materials that would otherwise go to waste.
Benefits:
- Affordability: As an economically produced material, Eco-Source 1" Gravel offers significant cost savings without compromising on performance, making it ideal for large-scale projects.
- Practical Application: The unrefined texture and natural compaction properties make it suitable for pathways, driveways, drainage solutions, and erosion control. Its angular shape helps lock the gravel in place, ensuring stability.
- Versatility: This gravel is perfect for a variety of applications, from residential landscaping to commercial construction.
Ideal Use Applications:
- Driveways: Eco-Source 1" Gravel provides a durable, stable surface for driveways, capable of handling heavy traffic while maintaining a natural appearance.
- Pathways and Walkways: The gravel's rugged texture and earthy tones make it a great choice for creating functional and visually appealing pathways.
- Erosion Control and Drainage: Use it as a base for drainage systems or to manage erosion in landscapes, ensuring effective water flow and soil stabilization.

Best Results: For best results and to reduce weed growth, install rock around 2" - 3" deep over top of quality commercial grade weed barrier.
Recommended Depth Rule: The rule of thumb with rock is to install a rock atleast twice the size of the rock not going any less than 2" deep when using small rocks. With a 1" rock, the minimum recommended depth would be 2" deep. Going less will likely show the bare ground beneath the rock. You are welcome to place rock deeper than the minimum recommended.

Notice: Rocks do not come clean. They may contain dust, small amounts of crushing fines, or some dirt stuck to the rocks. This is all due to the crushing or screening process. The images used are normally of the rocks after they have been cleaned off to showcase what the rocks will look like after rain, sprinklers, etc has cleaned them off. It is best to install rocks first, then rinse any dust or dirt off once installed.
