3/8" Washed Pea Gravel

Compactable Performance with Natural Appeal

3/8" Washed Pea Gravel is a premium crushed stone blend featuring warm tan and soft grey hues that bring subtle elegance to any landscape. With particle sizes ranging from 3/8" down to fines, this material is ideal for walkways, park strips, utility spaces, and areas where a stable, compact surface is essential.

Blending visual warmth with practical durability, this gravel delivers both structure and style—offering a natural finish that complements a wide range of outdoor designs.

Key Features:

  • Size: Crushed and screened to approximately 3/8" and smaller, allowing excellent compaction and surface stability.
  • Multi-Use Functionality: Well-suited for walkways, side yards, park strips, under sheds, utility areas, and compactable base layers.
  • Weather-Resistant: Sourced from high-quality natural stone built to endure harsh Utah conditions without fading or degrading.
  • Low Upkeep: Unlike organic groundcovers, this material won't decompose, shift in wind, or require seasonal replenishment.

Why It Works:

  • Coordinated Look: Earth-tone colors integrate seamlessly with other materials for a cohesive landscape.
  • Functional Drainage: Supports water flow control and erosion reduction in landscape beds or hard-to-maintain zones.

Recommended Uses:

  • Walkways & Side Paths
  • Park Strips
  • Base for Hardscape Elements
  • Beneath Sheds & Playsets
  • Driveway Borders
  • Zen or Minimalist Garden Designs

Best Installation Tip: For optimal results, install at a depth of 2"–3" over high-quality commercial weed barrier to suppress weed growth and maintain long-term performance.

Best Results: For best results and to reduce weed growth, install rock around 2" - 3" deep over top of quality commercial grade weed barrier.

Recommended Depth Rule: The rule of thumb with rock is to install a rock atleast twice the size of the rock not going any less than 2" deep when using small rocks. With a 1/2" rock, the minimum recommended depth would be 2" deep. Going less will likely show the bare ground beneath the rock. You are welcome to place rock deeper than the minimum recommended.

Notice: Rocks do not come clean. They may contain dust, small amounts of crushing fines, or some dirt stuck to the rocks. This is all due to the crushing or screening process. The images used are normally of the rocks after they have been cleaned off to showcase what the rocks will look like after rain, sprinklers, etc has cleaned them off. It is best to install rocks first, then rinse any dust or dirt off once installed.
